About the Role

A Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) expert is needed to contribute to the continued development and implementation of Visa’s global CR&S strategy and support the team in communicating strategic information to executive stakeholders through streamlined storytelling, web content, reporting, rankings, and investor dialogues. This position is responsible for leading key CR&S initiatives across corporate functions and business units. For example, the senior manager will create programs addressing corporate responsibility issues such as human rights.

This role requires an excellent project manager who is a strong collaborator to coordinate across functions and regional markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engagement on human rights topics, including managing relevant reporting requirements (e.g. UK Modern Slavery Act).
  • Build proactive corporate responsibility programs that support engagements with external stakeholders (NGOs, shareholders, etc.)
  • Provide project management support and collaboration on company CR&S initiatives and governance. Including preparing CR&S Committee agendas and meeting materials as well as Board presentations.
  • Work with the CSO and Director of CR&S to develop and implement a comprehensive reporting strategy to meet standards such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, ISSB, and CSRD.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance scores by understanding CR&S ratings and rankings methodologies and building proactive relationships with external organizations.
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency in current and future disclosure activities across the global business.
  • Support client engagement as a subject matter expert on CR&S topics at both global and regional levels.
  • Develop strategies for CR&S stakeholder membership organizations, establish KPIs to assess ROI, and open up opportunities to inform new audiences of Visa’s leadership and engage Visa business partners.
  • Coordinate CR&S business and thought leadership activities at major stakeholder events.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exemplary presentation skills with the ability to take complex sustainability material and make it into story that engages a broad set of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a global team and take initiative to contribute to team success.
  • Experience with Materiality Assessments or equivalent issue prioritization and evaluation processes preferred.
  • Efficient project and program manager who executes in a fast-paced environment
  • Expertise in CR&S reporting standards and frameworks such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, etc.
  • Working knowledge of CR&S -related risk assessments and broad experience with social, sustainability, and governance matters.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, gather diverse perspectives, recommend approaches, and communicate in a manner that builds trust and grows partnerships
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, risk management and critical thinking that leads to sound business judgment.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 130,600 to 200,800 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
