Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
As a TPM for Kuiper Enterprise Technology, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects across Kuiper enterprise applications suite of SAP systems supporting Warehouse. Planning and Quality area. You will anticipate bottlenecks, use high judgment to make trade-offs, and balance the business needs with technical constraints. Your ability to understand the big picture of the project design and anticipate and plan dependencies is crucial as well to take large, complex projects, break them into manageable pieces, and deliver timely results is crucial.
Key job responsibilities
- Understand business requirements working with PMT, Business stakeholders, super users
- Work with engineering teams (SAP Developers, Functional designers, process designers, security, Admin and other members) to understand the effort needed
- Build project plans and sprint schedules understanding engineering team bandwidth
- Manage dependencies inside and outside of the team to get the team answers on time, unblock the team and execute to aligned project plan and business need by dates
- Identify and escalate risks, manage issue resolution
- Bring in project management best practices , setup right processes, align with existing processes to delivery results
- Earn trust from the engineering team, stakeholders and leadership
- Setup Jira and other tools used for capturing and running projects and sprint cadence.
A day in the life
Manage project with SAP Planning, S4 Manufacturing, Quality and Warehouse functions and work with cross-functional business stakeholder and peers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
