  • Serve as a preceptor or mentor to new nurses, students, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Promote and participate in evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement.
  • Evaluate patient care products and processes through value analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in data collection and use evidence to inform practice changes.
  • Resources & Support
  • Plan proactively for patient needs across the care continuum.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop protocols and optimize outcomes.
  • Support efficient use of human and material resources to reduce avoidable events and readmissions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Licensure & Certifications (required upon hire):
  • Active RN License (Single-State of Georgia or Compact)
  • BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Minimum 2 years direct patient care nursing experience
  • Ability to work night shift (for this specific role)
  • Ability to deliver individualized care in a fast-paced acute care environment
  • Commitment to Hospital care standards, safety policies, and code of conduct
  • Ability to perform full nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies calmly and decisively
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
  • Effective communication and documentation abilities
  • Ability to provide culturally competent, individualized patient care
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills
  • Ability to use clinical technology and maintain basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to mentor, precept, and support other staff members
  • Understanding of evidence-based practice, nursing ethics, and regulatory compliance
