OR RN | Weekend Position | 3x12s | Level I Trauma

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join Core 6 for a weekend‑focused role in a high‑acuity surgical environment. This position is ideal for OR nurses who thrive in fast‑paced Level I trauma settings and are well‑rounded across multiple surgical specialties.

Position Details

  • Shift: 3×12‑Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
  • Schedule: Every Saturday & Sunday + one rotating weekday
  • Call Requirement: 6 call shifts per 6‑week schedule (varies)
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • First‑Time Travelers: Accepted
  • Interview Requirement: Provide 2–3 dates of availability at submission

Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years Operating Room RN experience
  • Level I Trauma experience required (HARD STOP)
  • Must be able to circulate
  • Scrub experience preferred
  • OR RNs must be current in most specialties (excluding CV & Transplant)

Certifications

  • BLS (AHA) required
  • ACLS/PALS may appear in system as preferred

Licensure

  • Active Indiana RN license required at submission
  • Pending licenses not accepted

Daily Surgical Census: 70–80 cases

Operating Rooms: 21–24

Additional Role Expectations

  • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
  • Floating required within scope and to affiliate facilities
  • No block scheduling
  • Scrubs provided
  • Free parking
  • Charting: Cerner
  • COVID‑19 Vaccine: Not required
  • Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
