Position Summary: As a Field Service Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our packaging equipment at customer sites. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our machinery, as well as providing exceptional customer service. Successful candidates will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to delivering top-notch service.

Responsibilities:

1. Installation and Commissioning:

• Install and start up equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct equipment testing and ensure proper functionality.

2. Maintenance and Repairs:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC issues.
• Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components to minimize downtime.

3. Customer Support:

• Provide on-site training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients.

4. Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports and documentation of parts used.
• Collaborate with the support team to improve troubleshooting procedures.

5. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for product and process improvements based on customer feedback.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in packaging technology.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a field service technician, preferably in the packaging equipment industry.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
• Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites as required.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required.
