Position: Manufacturing Estimator

Location: Tulsa, OK

Pay: $60,000 to $70,000/year (Depending on experience)

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in CNC machining, cost estimating, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Previous Aerospace experience (Required).

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

ProRecruiters is seeking a Manufacturing Estimator to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Estimate labor hours and material costs for manufacturing activities tied to proposals and contracts.
• Apply established pricing methodologies and estimating tools to produce detailed, data-driven cost projections.
• Partner with Manufacturing and Customer Program Managers to develop comprehensive labor hour estimates.
• Collaborate with vendors and the Purchasing Manager to build consolidated, priced Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Analyze engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to determine machining and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop and maintain time standards for CNC and manual machining processes, including setups and run times.
• Support bid preparation, vendor/subcontractor evaluation, and cost-effectiveness analysis.
• Maintain the estimating database and ensure the accuracy and consistency of cost data for future use.
• Prepare written estimates and present cost findings and recommendations to management.
• Continuously refine estimating practices based on production feedback, performance data, and industry benchmarks.

Position Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, materials (aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, composites), and aerospace/defense manufacturing standards.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, estimating software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external suppliers.
• Solid business acumen with a focus on cost control, accuracy, and competitiveness.
