Job Description

Christian Servants Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Technician to support a child in a nurturing environment during the school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care, supervision, and assistance to children, particularly those with special needs or behavioral challenges. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering a safe and engaging atmosphere that promotes the well-being and development of each child.

Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3pm-6pm.

Duties

• Assist child with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
• Implement behavior management strategies to support positive interactions and emotional regulation.
• Provide home community care by engaging children in their local environment and facilitating social interactions.
• Offer direct support to children with developmental challenges, tailoring approaches to individual needs.
• Collaborate with families and other professionals in the child’s life to ensure holistic support and continuity of care.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment conducive to learning and play.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or childcare is preferred, particularly in roles involving behavior management or direct support for individuals with special needs.
• Background in social work or behavioral health can enhance the effectiveness of care provided.
• A valid driver’s license is required for transporting child as needed.
• Strong communication skills are essential for working collaboratively with families and team members as well as reliability.
